Description

Hidden in the woods there is an almost forgotten part of history; a nearly 100 year old bridge belonging to what was once called “the Katy” or “KT” (Kansas-Texas) train line. This can be found in the suburbs of Round Rock, Texas. Tracks used to lay across the tops of the beams that make this bridge so that the first train from the north could make its way to and from Texas. Though this bridge was built in 1923, the Katy operated from 1904 to 1976 in this region.
